Trying To Look On The Bright Side...

If I knew I was going to have a bad Hump Day.
(I would have stopped in bed...)
Larry wouldn't start.
Lift to Job 1.
Gets lift to get new battery for Larry.
My dad and friends fits battery to Larry.
Still wouldn't start grrrrrr
Calls Green Flag.
A very very nice man comes out,
Tightens up the starter motor...
Larry now wakes up and works...
Hip Hip Hooray.
Then there was the trouble in the school involving one of my kids in the afternoon.
Pass me the headache tablet...

Make It So!

The first half of the morning,
I had pea soup fog to deal with.
I had a visit from the local PCSO's
at Job 1
Most of the car drivers stuck to the 20 mph limit and were stopping!!!!
One parent got told off for parking on the Zig Zags.
Back home
I was going to play with Henry,
Then had a powercut for a hour.
The PCSO's were back for the second half of Job 1
One van failed to stop, his license plate was noted.
Better get my skates on for getting into this Christmas mood.
(my new CD might help!)
 No cards made yet
No Christmas cake made yet
2 presents got so far...
19 days left and counting....

Getting Back On It!

Back on the Wobbly Work Wheel.
Another freezing day....
Thermal knickers are back on!
Nice sunrise...
I enjoyed singing backing vocals to
T'Pau's "Heart and Soul"
(That was playing on Asda FM)
while I scanning my shopping.
(Nice,loud and even in tune!)
Larry sat outside,
Watching the car park defrost.
Now to rest the vocal cords...
Even better, no singing needed to.....
 get back on it...
(Writing the new book!)

Beware The Red Light Flashing...

 A cold Sunday had arrived...
It was time to explore the loft for the Xmas Tree.
Hubby was armed with the crucifix and holy water.
Once the house was decorated inside and out....
Off we went for that free coffee.
While there, I found the ideal items to help smear hubby in baby oil!
Then we moved onto Asda.
While using the self service till....
One old boy was huffing and puffing like a steam train, behind us in the queue.
It wasn't  our fault, we were taking a long time.
Our till was being hyper sensitive
And we had a lot of reduced stuff.
Soon after we left and he got served..
The red light above the till was flashing:
Just like our red light above our bedroom door....

I Prefer The Soft To The Hard Stuff!

Woo hoo it's Saturday...
A little lie in....
Now to take out Larry for a ride..
Had a good CD to break in...
We were greeted by the reindeers
There were lots of nice Christmas items to get us into the mood...
The 3 litre bottle of vodka for  £176.00!!!
Good job I don't drink alcohol no more!
(That wouldn't had lasted too long if I did!)
To celebrate the upcoming third Anniversary of being Tea-Total.
Cheers!
Some new coffee to try out....!

Not Hoping For A Empty Sack...

Had an early night....
Resulted in a early cup of tea..
Back to sleep afterwards....
Woke to find no frost, and not as cold as it has been.
So the thermal knickers were put in the wash.
Had two bouts of Friday madness from both shifts of Job 1.
So nice to put the polish and duster away for the weekend
 Looking ahead for Xmas
Good job hubby isn't expecting a lot in his sack, a kiss and a quick grab of his balls if he is lucky....

Time For The Bird To Come Out!

Welcome to the First of December.
Still freezing cold and frosty.
 Loads of layers on
(including the thermal knickers)
One cheeky parent parked on the zig zags lines.
He ended up being boxed in,
And being stopped
(by Me)
As I had some children to cross over
(when he decided to move off)
One tank driver had to stop his car and scrape the rest of his windscreen as his windscreen had frozen again.
It was time for the little bird to come back out again...
Homemade Chicken & Veg Pie!
