Filling In The Gaps!

My last credit card bill was so big, before I opened it I actually heard a drum roll - Rita Rudner
Hi all 👍
Just a quick update from the last one I did 4 weeks ago...💥
I broke up for the Summer Holiday from my lollipop job 🍭
I had some nice cards, presents and words from the parents and children.
I wore hubby out on his week off from work ...↓
We visited Evesham, Stratford upon Avon, and Kidderminster↓
For the rest of the time off,
It involves:
  1. Baking
  2. Blogging (only 6 more weeks of blog posts to write)
  3. Booking a holiday to Las Vegas for the next school holiday
  4. Getting back to using my sewing machine(s)....
  5. Sequinned outfits will have to be worn too 😎
I have published two weeks of May.
Just as we went to Blackpool for Whitsun.
We didn't bump into Russ Abbot while we were there....↓
(Hubby's late dad was there in Blackpool when they were filming the TV series September Song which was released in 1993↓)
Hopefully the blog will be updated by the time I get back to work.....🙏

Road Trip Time!

My idea of a good night out is a good night in - Jack Rosenthal
Welcome to my great Thursday out and about 🎇
Breakfast and Brew.
I got dressed.
We dropped off younger son off at the bus stop as he is going out with a friend to Warwick Castle.
Gets back home for a nice early coffee.
Out of the house we go.
We listened to Pop Master in the car.
The first person taking part got 21.
The second person got 33 out 39!
On to Kidderminister we go.
Hubby donated some pictures to the Carpet Museum.
Hubby's late dad and late granddad worked in the Carpet Factories in Kidderminster.
We parked in the Aldi car park.
We packed the rain macs just in case it decided to rain.
Time to hit the charity shops!
Oh dear, not good this time.
We did get some Pork Scratchings off the market.
Some great Dvds, pity I got them already↓↓
Off for coffee and nibbles.
We got 50% off the food ;)
We nipped TK Maxx....
A woman was trying it on at the other till over a watch she bought, (Didn't keep the receipt) and trying to buy the same watch but the price was higher than the previous watch she bought. Arguing with the Manager that she should be charged at the price of the old watch.
That wasn't going to happen!
Visits two more Charity Shops.
Drops off the things in the car, then into Aldi to gets some bits.
We put our shopping on the belt.
The woman in front, saw our milk and went off to get some, and then came back and said she only had enough for her bottle of wine and lemonade!
The woman on the till was having a good chat with the two people in front of us.
The man behind was getting inpatient and grumbing about being made to wait.
We paid for our things and left.
While we were walking back to the car, we got a lovely phone call from our friend Tracy who lives in Blackpool.
She had her flowers delivered this morning and she phoned up to say thank you for the flowers and Birthday card.
I said,"You are only 60 once, and it's a Big Birthday!"
Be seeing Tracy very soon ;)
Loaded up the car and off home we went.
Unpacks the shopping.
Unpacked my bits....
Put all my bits away.
Hubby got on with the till.
Quick read into today's newspaper.
Tea is ready.
Now to watch a great programme:
Sleep Tea.
The Friday Feeling is back tomorrow 🎈

Behind The Back Door!

I kept a pet goat that followed me like an unpaid bill - Myrtle Reed.
Welcome to my tidy up Tuesday 💁
I came downstairs at 5am,
As it was too warm to sleep upstairs.
Hubby woke me up to join him upstairs for breakfast.
We did the Heardles.
Heardle 60s:
My son's answers were:
Dressed.
Now out for a long ride....
First stop was B&Q↓
Got some bits.
Then off to visit the big Dunelm↓
I have more than enough duvet covers⇊
It was so warm,
Time for a cold drink!
Now to visit the house.
The clock fell off and developed a crack in the top.
Swapped it around with a picture.
See how long it stops up now.
The garden still needs sorting out.
We have done the inside of the house!
Nice photo of hubby's late parents.
We nipped out to get lunch,
As there is no microwave in the kitchen to heat any food up!
I get some more defusers for the house to make it smell nice.
Hubby got some free boxes to box up some books to give to the Droitwich Lions.
Back to the house.
I tried to make the kitchen look a bit better.
I had the back door open to help dry the kitchen floor as I had mopped it when I heard the neighbours say:
"Dave, they 're in!"
After she noticed the back door open, and two chairs I had left by the back door, moved out of the way!
Found the missing Bank  Statement from 2014.
Blunts Shoes - £34
£50 & other amounts  being transferred out  every two weeks to people.
He was well into  his overdraft -£152 of £500.
The next time we are sorting more of the house out is the final week of August.
Hopefully it will be  when the house can go on the market.
Waves at the outside camera that is just above next door's living room window.
Off we go back home.
Nice easy tea.
It's still warm.
We sit outside to watch the sun go down.
Didn't get today's newspaper.
But here are the No.1's of previous years.

We went too the Range. When we got there, we saw two people trying to get a large picture and a ironing board in a Mini. The passenger was squashed in the front seat afterwards...↑↑↑
We got the paint to update our kid's bedrooms.
 Then we had a Boost↓
We had to have another trolley, as the first trolley was rammed with bargains.
